Adoption Policies

Please feel free to contact [email protected] should you have any questions about the application process; or about adoption through Alabama Pug Rescue and Adoption, Inc.

Your application is the first step in the adoption approval process. Once this process is complete, you should expect interviews, reference checks and a home visit from an APRA representative before final approval is given. Every attempt to complete this process in a timely manner will be made; however, your cooperation and communication are essential.

Please note that adoption applications will only be accepted from persons 18 years old or older.

All Pugs/Pug Mixes or Pug Pals placed through Alabama Pug Rescue and Adoption, Inc. will be spayed or neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and microchipped as appropriate for identification purposes.  The adoption fee is $300.00 and has not increased since 2008.

Adoption/Foster/Volunteer Form

*Please note that Foster Homes go through the same process of approval as Adoptive Homes. Those wishing to volunteer at events, assist with transport, etc. will not require a home visit but should complete the application as indicated.

Daisy Noelle
Date of Birth:  7/25/23

This precious girl has all of the foundation to be someone’s very special angel.  Unlike so many in rescue, this little one has been covered in love and has had many levels of training to include completing her Canine Good Citizenship certificate.  So why, you ask, is she being rehomed?

Her family is heavily involved in rescue and Daisy has serious issues in a multi dog household due to her alpha personality.  Her needs are complicated and she is on medications which must be given consistently every day.  Placement will only be considered where there is commitment made under an Adoption Contract  for Daisy to remain an only dog, or potentially with a very submissive older dog in the home.

She adores people and has proven to be excellent around small children.  She loves to travel and we are looking for a home that will keep her mind busy with continual training.  Though she eats her meals in a crate, she is not a fan of being confined to one.  She needs a home where there is an adult home most of the time.

We will be accepting applications for Daisy after an interview is conducted to determine if there may be potential for a match.  Home visits, a fenced yard and veterinary references are mandatory.
